Date Night

We haven't gone on a date in a while, so it was nice to get to go out on one finally. We decided in advance that we were going to dress up and go out to a nice dinner and just enjoy the night. It would be a fun night and we weren't going to worry about anything for the evening. Yea, sounds good. 

She kept her hair down and dressed up in her little pink polka-dot dress and sweater while I had the luxury of wearing a dress shirt and tie. Man, it's been a while since I got that dressed up. The occasion did require me to go out and buy a new pair of dress pants too. Fancy dinners have a way of making that okay.

By the way, I need some new dress shirts. Mine have gotten a bit too big...

Anyways, we walked in and were escorted to our seats. The waiter beat me to it, and pulled her chair out for her. Oh yea, we were dining in style tonight! It wasn't long before drinks were being poured and we were smiling enjoying the night. There was a small band playing off the side and the night was pretty great. It was a small venue and with the way the night was planned there was a select menu, so we never had to worry about our meals either.

After a round of music from the band, our plates were served and we were beginning to enjoy stuffing our bellies. The dinner of roasted chicken breast, mashed potatoes and green beans was pretty good. Very simple meal but cooked very well and thoroughly enjoyed. We sat around a bit, enjoying a few more songs from the band and just enjoying the night.

Since it was a late night dinner, my date was starting to get a little cranky so we decided it would be best to head home early and call it a night. But, it was definitely a good night to have!
